AhlulBayt News Agency: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi reaffirmed Tehran's unwavering support for Palestine, praising the resilience of the Palestinian people in the face of Israeli aggression.
During his meeting on Monday with Jamil Mezher, Deputy Secretary General of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, Araqchi emphasized Iran’s longstanding respect for the Popular Front, recognizing it as one of the oldest resistance movements against Israel. He paid tribute to its martyred and imprisoned leaders, acknowledging their sacrifices for the Palestinian cause.
According to IRNA, Araqchi reiterated Iran’s commitment to the formation of an independent Palestinian state with Holy Quds as its capital. He assured that Iran will continue its diplomatic and political backing of Palestine through regional and international bodies such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
Stressing the importance of unity among Palestinian factions, Araqchi warned against Israeli attempts to create divisions. He highlighted the significance of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, describing it as a movement that has rekindled global attention on Palestine's struggle.
Mezher expressed gratitude to Iran’s leadership, government, and people for their consistent support. He also presented an assessment of conditions in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Holy Quds, stating that despite Israel’s genocidal policies and blockade, the Palestinian people remain steadfast in their resistance.
