The Green Belt Department of the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine provides recreational spaces for visitors in Karbala. As part of its expansion, a medical unit was established to offer free first aid during peak visitor periods.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Green Belt Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has inaugurated a medical unit to offer free healthcare services to families visiting the recreational oases under its supervision.

According to Haitham Al-Taie, head of the department’s medical unit, the launch coincides with the blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha. He explained that this is the department’s first medical outpost, aimed at providing emergency first aid services.

Al-Taie emphasized that the unit is prepared to handle urgent medical cases before transferring patients to nearby hospitals for continued treatment.

He also noted that the opening of this medical post is part of a broader plan to extend healthcare services across a 9-kilometer area, a goal being gradually achieved with the support of the department’s leadership and cooperation with Al-Kafeel Super Speciality Hospital.

During Eid al-Adha, the Green Belt Department saw a large turnout of families from both inside and outside Karbala Governorate, drawn by the area’s refreshing greenery and peaceful environment.
