AhlulBayt News Agency: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has reaffirmed the need for the international community to intervene and halt the ongoing Israeli aggression in Gaza, stressing the importance of protecting innocent civilians and establishing lasting peace.
According to Mehr, speaking to dignitaries and officials in Mina on Saturday during an Eid al-Adha address, bin Salman emphasized the suffering endured by Palestinians under continued Israeli attacks.
“The suffering of our brothers in Palestine continues as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression,” he said, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
He called on the international community to take decisive action to mitigate the devastating consequences of the conflict and support Palestinian sovereignty in line with international resolutions.
The escalation follows Israel's renewed assault on Gaza, which resumed on March 18, breaking a ceasefire and prisoner exchange deal that had been in place since January. Israeli forces have since killed 4,497 people and injured 13,793 others.
International legal bodies have taken steps against Israeli officials. In November, the International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former War Minister Yoav Gallant, charging them with war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel also faces genocide accusations at the International Court of Justice over its military campaign in the besieged territory.
Bin Salman’s remarks reflect increasing pressure on global actors to intervene and address the crisis, as humanitarian concerns grow over the prolonged conflict.
