Pakistani Senator: Eid al-Adha is celebration of divine obedience

AhlulBayt News Agency: Senator Raja Nasser Abbas Jafari, Chairman of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly, in a message on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, considered this great Islamic holiday as a symbol of servitude, sacrifice and solidarity of the Islamic nation, and emphasized the need to sympathize with the needy and the families of the martyrs, and called for special attention of Muslims to the oppressed people of the world, especially the oppressed people of Gaza, in prayers and practical support.

Referring to the importance of this religious occasion, he stated,” Eid al-Adha is one of the most prominent signs of Islam's celebration during the Hajj period; It is a holiday in which all Muslims, with humility and servitude to the Almighty, obey His command with all their heart and soul. This day is a symbol of approaching the divine court and a reminder of great lessons such as sacrifice, sincerity and servitude.”

Senator Raja Nasser Jafari added,” Our moral and religious duty requires us to share our joys with the needy, the deprived and the underprivileged classes of society on such a day. It is also appropriate to honor the memory of the martyrs, especially their families, and not to forget the oppressed people of the world, especially the oppressed people of Gaza, in our prayers.”

He continued to say that Eid al-Adha is a reminder of submission and contentment with the will of God. This great holiday is celebrated every year with religious fervor and awareness by Muslims around the world, and its scope of influence expands every year; “We should take advantage of this spiritual opportunity and strengthen the spirit of sacrifice, dedication and service to the people in all aspects of life.”

At the end, the Chairman of the Pakistan Muslim Unity Assembly prayed for all Muslims, saying, "With the blessings of this great day, we ask God Almighty to grant us the true satisfaction of God, fill our hearts with spiritual joy, and accept all sacrifices in the path of truth and religion."
