AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran's President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized that unity among Muslim nations is crucial for strengthening the collective will to halt the Zionist regime’s atrocities against the oppressed people of Gaza.
President Pezeshkian made these remarks during a phone call with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al Sudani on Wednesday, where he congratulated the Iraqi government and people on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Islamic Festival of Sacrifice.
The Iranian president underscored the importance of unity in Islamic teachings, stating that cohesion within the Islamic Ummah can create a stronger collective resolve to advocate for an end to the crimes perpetrated by the Zionist regime in Gaza.
In response, Prime Minister Al Sudani expressed his appreciation for the Iranian president's call and extended his congratulations to the Iranian government and people on Eid al-Adha.
He stressed the necessity of unity among Muslim nations in the face of oppression, expressing hope for resilience against the Zionist regime’s ongoing atrocities.
Al Sudani also expressed optimism for continued cohesion and solidarity among Islamic countries, particularly between Iran and Iraq, and requested President Pezeshkian to convey his warm greetings to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
