AhlulBayt News Agency: Hamas’s chief negotiator, Khalil al-Hayya, held a phone conversation on Sunday with Ibrahim Kalin, the head of Türkiye’s intelligence agency, discussing the ongoing ceasefire talks over Gaza and broader developments in the Palestinian arena.
In a statement, Hayya, who also leads Hamas in Gaza, outlined the movement’s stance on the latest proposal by US envoy Steve Witkoff. He emphasized the necessity of a comprehensive ceasefire, the urgent entry of humanitarian aid, and the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza.
Hayya also briefed Kalin on Hamas’s political engagements regarding ceasefire efforts and condemned Israel’s continuing war crimes, including the recent massacre of aid seekers in Rafah.
For his part, Kalin reaffirmed Türkiye’s commitment to working toward a full ceasefire and ending Israel’s starvation policy against Gaza.
