AhlulBayt News Agency: The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, strongly condemned the decision by Israeli occupation’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir to ban the call to prayer in mosques across occupied Palestine, describing it as a dangerous escalation and an outright provocation of Muslim sentiments.
Hamas asserted that the directive is part of the continued Israeli violations against Palestinians and their religious and national identity. The movement warned of the consequences of this decision, labeling it as a violation of international conventions that guarantee freedom of worship and the protection of religious sites.
The statement further emphasized that Israeli attacks on Palestinians and their mosques would not go unanswered and would trigger waves of popular outrage. Hamas called on Palestinians in occupied territories to intensify their movement in defense of mosques and holy sites, resisting the occupation’s policies.
Reaffirming its commitment to safeguarding Palestinian religious heritage, Hamas stressed that the Israeli occupation’s measures will not alter reality or legitimize its policies.
