A grand corner meeting was held in Gamba Skardu as part of the preparations for the upcoming “Conference on Honoring Martyrs and Supporting the Oppressed Worldwide.”
The event saw participation from prominent religious and political leaders, including Agha Ali Rizvi, President of Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) Gilgit-Baltistan, Muhammad Kazim Maisam, Leader of the Opposition in the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly and MWM Parliamentary Leader, Sheikh Ali Muhammad Karimi, President of the School of Ulema Ahlul Bayt, Ibrahim Azad and Maulana Abbas Amiri, senior figures from MWM Gilgit-Baltistan.
Delegations representing multiple regions, including Gamba Skardu, Shigari Kalan, Tandal, Chanda, Kharbu, Tanjos, Ranga, Razsina, Kowardo, Kachura, and other surrounding areas also participated in the session.
The meeting not only reviewed the preparations for the upcoming conference but also discussed the overall political and social situation in Gilgit-Baltistan.
In his address, Agha Ali Rizvi reaffirmed the core purpose of their political movement, stating:
Our politics is rooted in the pursuit of moral and religious objectives, service to humanity, support for the oppressed, and striving for a life of dignity. We aim to carry forward the path laid down by the martyrs — a path of societal evolution and spiritual integrity.
He emphasized that the upcoming conference would serve as a beacon of hope for the oppressed and reinforce the message of justice, resistance, and unity.
