AhlulBayt News Agency: In a recent meeting with a group of WikiShia researchers and contributors, Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sayyid Jawad Shahrestani, the official representative of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Husseini Sistani, praised the efforts behind the WikiShia encyclopedia and described it as a valuable asset for Iran and the Islamic Revolution.
The meeting took place following a visit by the WikiShia team to the Imam Ali (A.S.) Museum, where they presented a report outlining the platform's achievements and research activities.
In his address, Javad Shahrestani son-in-law and the official representative of Grand AyatollahSistani highlighted the deep wisdom found in the Qur'an and Nahj al-Balagha, emphasizing the interconnection between these two foundational Islamic texts.
He noted, “The first step is to know ourselves and recognize our strengths. Our religious scholars and Maraji’ are precious treasures, steadfast in their loyalty to the Ahlulbayt (A.S.).”
Underscoring the importance of organizational structure and effective management, he criticized the mentality of “eliminating competitors” as a harmful approach that impedes collective progress.
Shahrestani advised, “Today, I am in a position where I can speak, and you are in a position where you can act—so value this. A time will come when we will regret the opportunities we let slip away without action.”
He strongly encouraged consultation and collaboration, stating that “seeking advice not only increases knowledge but also transforms a single thought into multiple perspectives.”
Calling on scholars and youth to believe in their potential, he added, “Value yourselves. Our country is no less capable than European nations. They rely on propaganda, while we’ve come to believe they can and we cannot. But if we awaken to our true capacities and make full use of our internal strengths, we can achieve anything.”
Shahrestani expressed his joy in meeting with the WikiShia team and reaffirmed his belief that the WikiShia encyclopedia is not just a religious project, but a national and revolutionary resource.
He concluded by emphasizing the importance of utilizing local talents and intellectual capital, suggesting that if properly managed, Iran can take the lead even in emerging fields like artificial intelligence.
