AhlulBayt News Agency: The Service Affairs Department at the Al-Abbas's (p) Holy Shrine has confirmed the continuous provision of chilled water and crystal ice for visitors, coinciding with the arrival of summer.
The assistant head of the department, Mr. Abbas Ali, stated that the department continues to serve visitors through its various divisions and units.
He explained that the Water Supply Division, in response to rising temperatures, ensures 24-hour availability of chilled water and ice for visitors to the holy shrine.
The department operates two factories for producing crystal ice:
- Al-Alqami Factory, located at the gate of the shrine of Aba al-Fadl al-Abbas (peace be upon him).
- Al-Furat Factory, situated near the Maqam of Imam al-Mahdi (may Allah hasten his reappearance).
These factories produce approximately 300 bags of ice per hour, which are distributed free of charge to Hussaini processions and citizens.
Additionally, the Water Supply Division provides chilled water to visitors through water coolers placed along the paths leading to the holy shrine.
