AhlulBayt News Agency: Gaza’s health ministry reported on Saturday that a child died of malnutrition and dehydration in Gaza City due to the ongoing Israeli blockade.
The child, identified as 4-year-old Mustafa Yassin, succumbed to severe hunger-related conditions as humanitarian aid remains restricted.
Two days earlier, Palestinian health minister Majed Abu Ramadan stated that 29 children and elderly individuals had died from hunger-related causes in Gaza over the past two days. He warned that thousands more are at risk if aid does not reach them.
Meanwhile, the World Food Program (WFP) has raised alarms over the worsening crisis, stating that more than 70,000 children in Gaza face acute levels of malnutrition.
“WFP is taking every opportunity to deliver food and nutrition assistance – but this is just a drop in the bucket,” the organization said.
“To avert famine and save lives, we need immediate, unrestricted, and safe access to deliver,” WFP added.
