Israeli analysts: Netanyahu faces growing isolation as allies withdraw support

Prominent Zionist analysts acknowledge Israel’s diplomatic collapse, citing global isolation and loss of key allies. Netanyahu’s pursuit of an unattainable victory has further strained relations. The UK has imposed sanctions and suspended trade negotiations in response to escalating violence.

AhlulBayt News Agency: Prominent Zionist media analysts acknowledge that the regime has suffered a political and diplomatic collapse.

Haaretz newspaper, quoting Yossi Verter, a Zionist political analyst, reported that Israel is facing diplomatic failure, including internal instability, global isolation, and the loss of longtime supporters. Netanyahu, who had previously blocked humanitarian aid to Gaza due to Hamas opposition to Steve Witkoff’s plan, has now agreed to allow aid, citing famine prevention.

Verter added that the cancellation of U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s trip to Israel and the Trump administration’s threat to cut off support for Netanyahu if the war continues indicate a serious decline in his backing from American conservatives.

He also noted that a joint statement from France, the UK, and Canada included a warning of potential action against Israel, condemning the harsh rhetoric of Tel Aviv’s cabinet ministers. Even Germany and the Czech Republic, traditionally strong supporters of Israel, have expressed concerns over the situation.

Verter sarcastically pointed out that while Israel faces diplomatic collapse, its Minister of War, Israel Katz, in Azerbaijan, referred to Israel’s Eurovision contestant’s “double privilege” as a sign of friendship between nations. He criticized Israeli officials for focusing on musical propaganda while the country plunges into diplomatic isolation.

Similarly, Nadav Eyal, a Zionist journalist, emphasized that Israel has effectively defeated itself in the Gaza war due to political failure, loss of global support, and the collapse of moral legitimacy. He noted that Netanyahu’s cabinet has failed to present a clear end-of-war strategy while ignoring international demands.

Ben Caspit, an analyst for Maariv, stated that Netanyahu is pursuing an impossible victory, pushing Israel toward complete isolation. He warned that Israel has become an outcast, abandoned by allies, while Netanyahu remains focused on removing Gaza’s residents rather than addressing the country’s diplomatic crisis.

Caspit further cautioned that Netanyahu seeks total victory—one that is unattainable militarily or politically—and is fully aware of this reality.

These criticisms emerged after the British government imposed sanctions on several Israeli individuals and entities on Tuesday afternoon. The UK also suspended negotiations on a free trade agreement with Israel in response to escalating military attacks in Gaza and increased violence against Palestinians in the West Bank.
