AhlulBayt News Agency: The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Monday that its fighters had ambushed three Israeli military vehicles advancing into northern Gaza, killing and wounding several Israeli soldiers.
In a brief military statement via Telegram, the Al-Qassam Brigades stated that the operation took place last Friday, when its fighters targeted three Israeli military vehicles with two “Shawaz” explosive devices and a “tandem” missile in the Al-Atatra area, west of Beit Lahia.
Following the ambush, Al-Qassam fighters engaged another Israeli force using light weapons and hand grenades, resulting in additional casualties among Israeli troops.
The Al-Qassam Brigades reported that its fighters monitored the landing of helicopters sent to evacuate the dead and wounded.
Israeli undercover operation fails
Earlier today, Palestinian sources revealed details of an Israeli force disguised as women infiltrating west of Salah al-Din Street, north of Khan Yunis, allegedly attempting to reach Israeli prisoners.
The sources confirmed that the Israeli force failed to achieve its goal and instead killed Palestinian commander Salah al-Din Ahmed Sarhan, leader of the Al-Nasser Brigades, before kidnapping his wife and children.
