AhlulBayt News Agency: Israeli military forces intensified their raids in the occupied West Bank, leading to the fatal shooting of a Palestinian teenager and injuries to two others, according to Palestinian media reports.
According to Press TV, on Saturday evening, Israeli military vehicles stormed the village of Burqa, northwest of Nablus, blocking streets, stopping Palestinian residents, and inspecting their ID cards, sparking protests.
The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed that 16-year-old Nidal Wael Abdul-Karim Shaghnoubi was shot dead, and his body was taken away by Israeli forces. Medical personnel were reportedly prevented from providing him aid before he succumbed to his wounds.
The Israeli military stated that soldiers from Unit 636 had observed Shaghnoubi allegedly throwing stones at military vehicles before they “neutralized” him, adding that no soldiers were harmed in the incident.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS), two teenagers, aged 17 and 13, suffered gunshot wounds to their arms and were transferred to a hospital in Nablus for treatment.
Following the shooting, Israeli forces shut down the Jenin-Nablus road, obstructing Palestinian movement near the illegal Homesh settlement.
