AhlulBayt News Agency: The Gaza government media office has stated that Israel’s 77-day campaign of systematic starvation in Palestinian territory is a direct result of clear collusion between the Tel Aviv regime and the United States.
For 77 consecutive days, the besieged territory has faced a total blockade by Israel, with humanitarian aid deliberately withheld, the media office said in a statement on Saturday.
According to the statement, the food blockade has led to widespread famine, with 57 confirmed deaths—most of them children—due to hunger and malnutrition.
Mortality rates continue to rise due to diseases caused by food scarcity and the lack of essential supplies, officials noted.
The systematic delay in humanitarian aid and the closure of crossings into Gaza are the result of explicit coordination between Tel Aviv and Washington, the office added.
Gaza’s government placed direct responsibility on US President Donald Trump, alongside Israeli occupation authorities, for the ongoing starvation of the Palestinian people, blockade of crossings, and obstruction of relief aid deliveries.
The statement further warned that global silence, particularly from Arab nations, will only exacerbate civilian suffering and allow Israel to continue its policy of starving an entire population.
Meanwhile, Arab leaders gathered at an annual summit in Baghdad said they were working to negotiate a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
They also pledged to contribute to the reconstruction of the territory once hostilities cease.
The summit, attended by regional figures including Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, comes two months after Israel broke a previous ceasefire and resumed air and ground strikes across Gaza.
