AhlulBayt News Agency: The 34th Arab League Summit, held on Saturday, issued a strong call for the urgent and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza while condemning Israel’s ongoing military actions in Syria.
In its final statement, the summit urged the international community—particularly influential nations—to uphold their moral and legal responsibilities by exerting pressure to end the bloodshed and facilitate the uninterrupted flow of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. According to Anadolu Agency (AA), leaders emphasized the necessity of immediate intervention to prevent further suffering.
The summit also strongly denounced Israel’s military operations in Syria, condemning repeated violations of Syrian sovereignty and efforts to destabilize the country’s infrastructure. Leaders called on the international community and the UN Security Council to take decisive measures to halt these attacks and ensure respect for national sovereignty.
Additionally, the final communiqué reaffirmed opposition to Israeli aggression in Syria, characterizing it as a serious threat to regional stability.
The 34th Arab League Summit, which commenced in Baghdad on Saturday, primarily focused on Israel’s war on Gaza alongside other pressing regional issues. This marks Iraq’s fourth time hosting the summit and its first since 2012.
