AhlulBayt News Agency: Palestinian journalist Hasan Eslih was assassinated by the Israeli occupation army at dawn on Tuesday while receiving treatment at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza.
According to local sources, an Israeli drone directly targeted Eslih while he was still receiving medical assistance in the hospital’s burns unit. The attack killed him and wounded others.
Eslih had previously suffered injuries on April 7 when an Israeli warplane bombed a tent sheltering journalists near Nasser Hospital. That strike killed journalist Helmi al-Fuqawi and a young man named Yusuf al-Khazindar, while also injuring several other journalists.
At the time, the Israeli army admitted that its airstrike was intended to kill Eslih. As a result of the attack, he had suffered an amputation of two fingers on his right hand and a head injury.
