Hamas condemns Netanyahu’s rafah remarks as ‘defeat-driven madness

Hamas condemned Netanyahu’s statements on Rafah as desperate attempts to mask Israeli failures in Gaza. The movement reaffirmed its resistance, called for global support, and highlighted Netanyahu’s ICC pursuit for war crimes amid a conflict that has killed over 52,000 Palestinians.

AhlulBayt News Agency: The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has fiercely criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent statements about a planned military operation in Rafah, Gaza, calling them a reflection of “defeat-driven madness” and an “illusion of false victory.”

In a statement released on Thursday, Hamas dismissed Netanyahu’s claims of achieving a “decisive victory” and “dismantling Rafah” as desperate attempts to mask the Israeli regime’s failures in Gaza and mislead its illegal settlers. The movement emphasized that the resilience and steadfastness of the Palestinian people had thwarted Israel’s objectives, despite the ongoing massacres, destruction, and siege.

Hamas reaffirmed its commitment to resisting the occupation until the regime is expelled from Palestinian land. It declared that Rafah, which Netanyahu claims he will “dismantle,” will remain a symbol of dignity and resistance, turning into a nightmare for the invaders, as seen in other cities like Beit Hanoun, Gaza City, Khan Younis, and Shuja’iyya.

The group also called on the international community and free people worldwide to support the Palestinian cause, uphold their right to self-determination, and take urgent action to stop the crimes of genocide and starvation being committed by the Israeli regime.

Hamas highlighted that Netanyahu is being pursued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, where over 52,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been killed since October 2023. Despite its aggressive warfare, the Israeli regime has failed to achieve its stated goals of defeating Hamas or forcing mass expulsion of Palestinians from Gaza.
