AhlulBayt News Agency: Reports reveal that US airstrikes on Sa’ada governorate’s detention center in Yemen resulted in the deaths of dozens of African inmates and injuries to over 50 others.
On Monday, Al-Masirah news network stated that the airstrikes targeted a detention facility designated for African migrants in the city. The center housed approximately 115 inmates, but the precise number of casualties remains uncertain.
Civil defense teams have been working relentlessly since dawn to extinguish fires and save victims trapped beneath the rubble caused by the strikes.
Ambulance crews are also engaged in recovering and transporting the wounded to hospitals overwhelmed by the influx of casualties.
Footage from the scene depicts a tragic massacre with dozens of bodies and scattered remains as rescue teams continue their efforts to retrieve victims.
Local officials reported that one of the US missiles failed to detonate near the detention facility.
Yemen’s Interior Ministry denounced the attack, declaring that the US airstrike on the immigration detention center is a war crime and a blatant breach of international humanitarian law.
