AhlulBayt News Agency: The events of the first memory enhancement festival in Najaf province witnessed the opening of an exhibition on genocide crimes.

The festival, organized by the University of Kufa, is held under the auspices of the Al-Abbas's (p) holy shrine represented by the al-Wafi foundation for documentation and studies, and under the slogan (lessons of the past ... the beginning of the future); in order to shed light on the crimes suffered by the Iraqi people, by the former regime and Takfiri groups.

The president of the foundation, Mr. Ahmed Sadeq, said:"on the sidelines of the first memory enhancement Festival, an exhibition documenting the crimes of genocide committed against the Iraqi people, whether committed by the former regime or terrorist gangs, was opened and will last for five days."

"The exhibition represents a message that the crimes witnessed in the country are only an extension of the Baathist crimes, as contemporary terrorism is a product of Baathist Takfiri thought,"he added.

Sadeq explained that" the exhibition diversified its contents, as it included photos, documents, books, and collectibles of the martyrs of the scientific estate, as well as hand-painted paintings, "explaining that"it came with the aim of educating young people and introducing this generation to what happened in the past, to have an example in the present and the future."

The memory enhancement festival is the first of its kind to be held at Iraqi universities, and seeks to revive the national memory and document historical events affecting Iraqi society.
