AhlulBayt News Agency: Iran will have two contenders in the 13th edition of Libya’s international Holy Quran competition.
The competition will be organized in three categories, namely memorization of the entire Quran, memorization of the entire Quran along with mastery in the ten styles of recitation and memorization of the entire Quran along with Tafseer (interpretation).
Mojtaba Alirezalou and Mohammad Javad Delfani will represent Iran in the first and second category, respectively.
The country will not take part in the third category of the competition.
The two Quran memorizers have been introduced as Iran’s representatives by the Committee for Inviting and Dispatching Quran Reciters and Memorizers.
Libya’s 13th international Quran contest will be organized in two stages, with the preliminary round slated to be held later this month virtually.
The finals will take place in the North African country in the lunar Hijri month of Muharram (June-July).
