AhlulBayt News Agency: Leader of the Islamic Revolution Declares “Investments for Production” as Iran’s 1404 New Year Slogan
On March 21, 2025, marking the first day of the Iranian year 1404, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Sayyid Ali Khamenei, delivered his annual Nowruz speech at the Imam Khomeini Hussainiyah in Tehran, addressing thousands of people from various sectors of society.
Opening his remarks with prayers for transformation and blessings, especially as this year’s Nowruz coincides with the Nights of Qadr and the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ali (pbuh), the Leader reflected on the major events of the past year. He described 1403 as a challenging year for the nation, marked by the martyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and several Iranian advisors in Damascus, along with economic hardships and regional tensions.
Despite these difficulties, Imam Khamenei praised the Iranian people’s resilience, high morale, and unity, highlighting their massive participation in the President’s funeral, their swift engagement in national elections, and their generous support for the people of Lebanon and Palestine. He called these acts a testament to the spiritual strength and solidarity of the Iranian nation.
Focusing once again on economic matters, the Leader introduced “Investments for Production” as the slogan for the new year. Emphasizing the need for public and governmental cooperation in economic development, he urged both private and public sectors to channel resources toward productive investment to improve livelihoods and reduce harmful economic activities.
Addressing the recent aggression in Gaza, he strongly condemned the Zionist regime’s attacks, calling them a heinous crime. He held the United States complicit in these actions and called for unity among the Islamic Ummah and freedom-seekers worldwide to stand against such atrocities. He also denounced ongoing attacks on Yemen.
In conclusion, Imam Khamenei prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity for the Iranian people and the broader Islamic world in the year ahead.
