AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): By expressing the views of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Movement towards the developments in Occupied Palestine, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Asadi announced the powerful and united performance of the Resistance movements throughout the Islamic world.
According to the website of the representative office of al-Nujaba in Iran, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Asadi, the head of the Political Council of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, spoke in an exclusive interview with the Palestine today news agency offered his congratulations on the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Islamic Jihad movement, saying, “Since the beginning of its activities, this movement has created a deterrence equation with its steadfastness and selflessness in the fight against the Zionist regime, which will continue until the complete liberation of Palestine.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Asadi considered the commemoration of the anniversary of the establishment of Islamic Jihad as truly commemorating all Palestinian warriors and added, “Despite the difficulties, challenges, sieges and weak facilities, the effective continuation of martyrdom and military operations in all areas, which have led to the death and injury of many Zionists, proves the correctness of the principles of the Islamic Jihad movement, i.e., freedom and independence.
Referring to Operation al-Shuja’iyyah in the 1980s, which ignited the First Intifada and ignited a military revolution of Islamic origin, he explained, “During this operation, five members of the Islamic Jihad forces, who were imprisoned in the al-Saraya Prison located in the centre of Gaza City, managed to free themselves from the Zionists, and of course, they were martyred afterwards.”
The head of the Political Council of al-Nujaba described the Resistance as the foundation of the crucial equations and continued, “There are many methods of deterrence that, in an increasing trend, defeat the Zionists’ plans to Judaize the al-Aqsa Mosque and the city of al-Quds. The most important of them is direct conflict with the Zionist military. Also, there is increased awareness among Palestinian citizens regarding the dangers facing the holy places and trying to ward off existing threats.”
al-Asadi evaluated the activities of the Palestinian Resistance movements and other movements in the Islamic world in various regions in regard to fighting against Western colonialism – at the top of which is the Zionist regime – and noted, “These movements are advancing with unity and strength to achieve this objective.”
He then explained the position of Iraq’s al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement towards the project of compromise with the Zionist regime, and stated, “The al-Nujaba Movement looks at the agreements made over the last two years, which were signed with the pressure and support of the United States without considering the rights of the Palestinian people, from two perspectives; First, This movement did not happen by chance, but it was secretly running for a long time to support the Zionist regime with an international veneer. Second, its objective is to create a kind of legitimacy and social acceptability for the Zionist regime among people whose ruling regimes have sought compromise with Israel.”
The high-ranking member of the Iraqi Resistance emphasized that the project of normalization of relations violates the Palestinian cause and the rights of the people and recognizes the legitimacy of the Zionist regime and explained, “The Arab nations reject this plan. Such agreements occurred when everyone realized that the destruction of the Zionist regime was near.
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Asadi considered the formation of a unified resistance front from different regions as necessary for the liberation of Palestine and said, “Palestinian Resistance movements and warriors use their experiences and initiatives in support of Palestine in full coordination.”
