Head of Higher Islamic Council in al-Quds warns of settler break-ins at Aqsa during Ramadan month

Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied al-Quds, has held the Israeli occupation state fully responsible for the consequences of its intent to allow Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, head of the Higher Islamic Council in Occupied al-Quds, has held the Israeli occupation state fully responsible for the consequences of its intent to allow Jewish settlers to desecrate the Aqsa Mosque during the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement on Saturday, Sheikh Sabri affirmed that the occupation state would be responsible for any possible deterioration of the security situation in Jerusalem if it persisted in protecting the settlers who defile the Aqsa Mosque.

He pointed out that such step would contradict the Israeli government’s claims about its keenness on calming and defusing the situation in the holy city.

The al-Quds official warned that no one could stop the Palestinian people when they rise up to defend their Mosque.

Recently, the Israeli occupation authority decided in principle to allow Jewish settlers to tour the Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards during Ramadan month. The decision was taken following a meeting held by officials from the police and the national security council.

Israeli premier Naftali Bennett also intends to hold another meeting in the coming days to take a final decision in this regard.
