Sheikh Sabri calls for protecting Al-Aqsa Mosque on 8 Dhul-Hijjah

Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council in al-Quds (Jerusalem), on Sunday called on all Palestinians capable of reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque to do so and prevent settlers from violating its sanctity and the sanctity of the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Sheikh Ekrema Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the head of the Supreme Islamic Council in al-Quds (Jerusalem), on Sunday called on all Palestinians capable of reaching the Al-Aqsa Mosque to do so and prevent settlers from violating its sanctity and the sanctity of the blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah.

Sabri denounced the Jewish settlers' intention to defile Al-Aqsa one day before Arafa, which is one of the days associated with Hajj and one of Islam holiest days, describing it as a “blatant aggression on the Mosque.”

He said that the indications of the settlers' insistence on storming Al-Aqsa confirm that the new Israeli government is no less dangerous and extremist than the previous one.

The preacher held the new Israeli occupation government fully responsible because it provides protection for the settlers.

Sabri also held the Arab and Islamic governments responsible for neglecting the right of the Al-Aqsa and Islamic sites, calling for the need to act to stop the Israeli occupation's schemes.

The settlers are preparing for a massive storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah to mark the so-called “Anniversary of the destruction of the Temple.”
