Hodeidah people call on UN to assume its responsibilities towards siege of aggression against Yemen

The inhabitants of Hodeidah governorate organized a protest on Sunday to denounce the US-Saudi aggression's detention of oil ships in light of the silence of the United Nations and international organizations.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The inhabitants of Hodeidah governorate organized a protest on Sunday to denounce the US-Saudi aggression's detention of oil ships in light of the silence of the United Nations and international organizations.

“Where is the humanity of the United Nations, people die in hospitals, and citizens suffer the consequences of the aggression's detention of oil ships,” the governor of Hodeidah governorate, Muhammad Ayyash Qahim, said in a speech during the stand.

"We did not find any humanitarian organization that reflects the fact that the Yemenis are suffering as a result of the siege of the brutal aggression," he added

He addressed the United Nations, saying, “We tell the United Nations that takingSaudi Arabia off the list of shame as a killer of Yemeni children is all shame.”

For his part, the representative of Hodeidah governorate, Ahmed Al-Bishri confirmed that in every march or protest in front of the United Nations building, “we deliver a protest statement against the reservation of oil derivatives, but we did not receive any response from them, because they are fully complicit and have become a cover for the US-Saudi aggression in punishing the Yemeni people.”

The head of the General Al-Thawra Hospital in Hodeidah, Dr. Khaled Suhail, confirmed that the detention of oil ships constitutes a real humanitarian catastrophe for the hospitals and great risks to the lives of the patients.

He pointed out that if the electricity cut off for more than half an hour on Al-Thawra Hospital, meaning the death penalty for more than 200 patients in care and operations rooms.

The statement emphasized that what the US and its Saudi and Emarati tools are doing is a crime of genocide against the Yemenis, especially with the spread of the corona pandemic.

The inhabitants of Hodeidah governorate called on the United Nations to assume its legal and moral responsibilities towards the siege of the aggressive states on the Yemeni people and Hodeidah city in particular.

They also called on all local and international human rights organizations to carry out their humanitarian duty and stand responsible for the crimes committed by the US and its tools against childhood, women and old age in Yemen.
