(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Iranian Cultural Center in Moscow has introduced the book in the 67th volume of "The Society and Culture of Today’s Russia” Weekly.
According to the center, the book was recently unveiled in a ceremony in the Russian capital.
Roman Silantyev, a prominent religious scholar and a professor at the Moscow State Linguistic University, George Maximov, Orthodox priest, Mufti Farid Salmanov and Valiollah Yakupov, a religious scholar, have cooperated in writing the educational book.
Silantyev said that the contribution of two Muslim clerics who clarified Muslim views and Islamic teachings has added to the authenticity of the work.
The 464-page book covers major issues related to Islam and Muslims, including the contemporary culture of Muslim communities in Russia, the features of interfaith dialogue, differences between Muslims and Christians and different Islamic schools of thought.
Readers will also get acquainted with the Russian-based Islamic centers and the biography of 100 eminent Muslim scholars.
The book is also a valuable source of information about Islamic societies in different parts of Russia and those who converted to Islam in the country.
