(AhlulBayt News Agency) - Head of Pakistan’s leading Shia party Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has made it clear to the government and security officials that it was obligatory on them to facilitate Pakistani Zaireen (pilgrims) who travel via Balochistan province to pay visit of holy shrines in Iran and from there to Iraq.

“It is duty of the federal and provincial governments and the security agencies to provide security and all needed facilities to the pilgrims,” said Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, speaking at a press conference in Quetta. MWM’s MPA Agha Syed Raza, Allama Hashim Mousavi, Malik Iqrar Hussain and Abbas Ali were also present.

Allama Jafari further said that founder of Pakistan Mohammad Ali Jinnah dreamt of a welfare and ideal Muslim state where all citizens including minorities get due rights according to Islamic teachings but rulers have made it difficult to make the dream true. Instead, he said, the ruling clique created hurdles in the way of that ideal Pakistan, dreamt by Mr. Jinnah.

Shia leader also lambasted the government for ignoring eastern route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said that the government was working on western route to benefit Punjab province alone.

He said CPEC must benefit the backward area and oppressed people of Balochistan province. He said Balochistan must be preferred in the priorities of the government. He said people of Gilgit-Baltistan also complained that they were being ignored in CPEC hence government must pay attention to address their grievances as well.

Meanwhile, he also met Allama Juma Asadi of Shia Ulema Council and Agha Saadat Ali Hazara to discuss the united efforts to facilitate the Zaireen (pilgrims). He sought their help and assistance to sort out the problems of pilgrims.
