Imam Ali’s letter to Malik be unveiled in 8 languages

The Center for Management of Translation and Publication of Islamic and Humanities Works, a division of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, will unveil the translated version of Imam Ali’s correspondence to Malik Ashtar in 8 languages parallel with the Qadir Khumm Eve.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The center has provided the translations with assistance from the Nahjolbalagheh Foundation. The letter will be presented in Russian, Italian, English, French, Tagalog, Amharic, and Kazakh.

Moreover, the center has plans to translate the letter into 20 other languages with the aim of disseminating its invaluable content in the world.

Imam Ali’s letter to his chief commander Malik Ashtar is known as the Malik Treaty. When Imam Ali (first Shia imam) appointed Malik as the governor of Egypt, he sent his guidelines through a letter to Malik. The letter is regarded as one of the most veritable political documents in Islamic law especially among Shias.

Features of an Islamic government, Islamic ruler, citizen rights, the relationship between government and the citizens, etc. are elaborated and shed light on.
