2nd international US decline conference held in Tehran

The second international conference on the US decline was held in Tehran on Tuesday, November 2.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The second international conference on the US decline was held in Tehran on Tuesday, November 2.

As a speaker of the ceremony, the scientific secretary of the conference Mohammad-Bagher Khoramshad referred to the term "the US decline" as one which dates back to about twenty years ago: "This term has emerged for various reasons that internal crisis and being unable to control the situation in Afghanistan are among them."

Many people worldwide welcome the world without the US since they have suffered the imposed oppression by the US as in Yemen, Lebanon, Venezuela, added the scientific secretary of the conference.

He recalled the US unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the subsequent sanctions it imposed on Iran as a clear example of oppression which would not be forgotten by the Iranian nation and noted: "It is time for the US to make hard decisions, stay committed and accept Iran as a power in the world."

Also speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the conference, deputy chairman of the ceremony Hossein Isaeei said that 27 universities and organizations contributed to setting up the conference.

207 abstracts (118 in Persian and 19 in Arabic and English) were sent to this conference, according to Isaeei.

110 full articles were also sent to the second international conference on the US decline, 58 of which will be published.

34 articles in Persian and 16 articles in English will also be presented in the conference and 10 nominees will be honored at the end of the conference.

Under a 2015 deal called JCPOA, Iran curbed its uranium enrichment program in return for lifting economic sanctions, but former US President Donald Trump quit the agreement in 2018, and know the Israeli government is the main opposition to US efforts to revive the deal.
