Books of AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly at Baghdad Intl. Book Fair

The 22nd Baghdad International Book Fair was held in the Iraqi capital from June 10 to 21, 2021, with the slogan “Book is Homeland”.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The 22nd Baghdad International Book Fair was held in the Iraqi capital from June 10 to 21, 2021, with the slogan “Book is Homeland”.

The exhibition was scheduled to close on June 20. But due to the public reception, it was extended for one more day and lasted 12 days.

More than 228 publishers from 14 countries participated in the exhibition, and nearly 30 seminars and cultural meetings were held on its sidelines.

The “AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly of Iraq”, one of the local assemblies affiliated to the AhlulBayt (a.s.) World Assembly, also participated in the exhibition and presented the works of the assembly.

Hojat al-Islam Pahlavanzadeh Behbahani, the director of the AhlulBayt (a.s.) Assembly, Iraq’s office, attended the exhibition and visited the activities.

It should be mentioned that three Iranian publishers, “Iranian Cultural Counselor in Baghdad”, “Iranian Book and Literature House”, and “Abrar Moaser Institute”, also participated in the exhibition, and in cooperation with each other, they established the National Pavilion of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the fourth hall of the Baghdad International Book Fair, in an area of 75 square meters, and presented about 1,200 titles of books, in the form of 13,000 volumes, with religious, cultural, artistic, political, Iranian studies, etc. topics in Persian and Arabic to Iraqi visitors.

Various literary and cultural meetings were held during the Baghdad Book Fair. Among these meetings was the meeting of the Cultural Advisor of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the subject of the martyrdom of General Qassem Soleimani and Hajj Abu Mahdi Al-Mohandes, in which Hojat al-Islam Fallah Al-Qureshi delivered a speech.

The 22nd Baghdad Book Fair was well received by the Iraqi people, and the sales of the participating publishers were good.
