AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Yemeni President Mahdi Al-Mashat on Monday received UN Secretary-General Envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, which was attended by the head of the House of Representatives, Yahya Alrae'e, discussed the latest humanitarian situation in Yemen as a result of continued aggression and siege and aspects related to the implementation of the Stockholm agreement.
In the meeting, the Al-Mashat welcomed the efforts of the Special Envoy, stressing support for these efforts to alleviate the humanitarian disaster imposed by the aggression and siege.
He stressed that the other party does not want to stop the aggression, pointing out that "the cessation of the war is not in the hand of mercenaries, but Saudi Arabia." He pointed to the importance of making a timed plan by the head of the UN team to implement the agreement with the supervising of Special Envoy as the sponsor of the political agreement in Sweden.
Martin Griffith thanked the President for his facilitation of the UN team and thanked the humanitarian initiative to release the sick Saudi prisoner. He stressed the importance of implementing the Swedish agreement, pointing out that he will work to oblige the parties to implement the agreement during his visit to Hodeida tomorrow, noting the need for observers in the Red Sea Mills and the road leading to it.
