AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): “The insight of the Iranian people and their defiance of the world arrogance is a lesson for all nations,” underlined a university scholar and lecturer from Pakistan.
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimin Seyyed Aqeel Haider Zaidi made the comment during a conference dubbed ‘Recognition of the enemy and ways to confront it’ held yesterday by the Department of Non-Iranian Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi.
The conference was attended by Pakistani elites and dignitaries upon their visit to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam. “There’s a major need in Muslim nations to raise awareness of the conspiracies hatched by the enemies and the arrogance powers. The enemy is seizing every opportunity to cause despair in Muslim communities and to sow discord among them,” warned Mr. Zaidi.
He added, “a case in point is the conspiracy of 2009, which was foiled by the wisdom of the Supreme Leader and the vigilance of people.” He concluded that, “this [Iranian] nation has proved loyal to its Revolution,” making a reference to the fact that the Iranian people stood for the ideals of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, and the Supreme Leader, as soon as they noticed the hostility of arrogant powers towards the Islamic Republic.
Pointing to the dignity and resilience of Iranians in several critical junctures of the history of the Islamic Revolution, the university lecturer claimed that “if other Islamic countries also mark such occasions in their historical calendar and recognize their domestic and foreign enemies, they will act more vigilantly against conspiracies.”
He expressed dismay that many incidents that take place in Pakistan are never recorded and that “it is necessary to record such incidents in order to keep people aware of the enemy’s plots.”
During this ceremony, a Q&A session was held, where pilgrims asked questions on the Guardianship of Jurisprudence (Velayat-e Faqih) and the benefits and blessings of such a doctrine. At the end of the ceremony, the pilgrims received presents from the Department of Non-Iranian Pilgrims Affairs of Astan Quds Razavi.
