(AhlulBayt News Agency) - The Joint Union of the Yemeni opposition in Sana'a warned the United Nations envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, of the dangers of deviating from his real mission. It pointed out that whoever takes peace away is the one who attacks Yemen and expands attacks on the West Coast and Hodeidah.
In a letter to the envoy, the Joint Meeting wished him success in his mission, it stressed that Yemen and its national political forces have been fully convinced of sovereignty and independence since March 26, 2015 and that there is no acceptance of fragmenting the comprehensive political solution or turning Hodeidah into a paper for political compromise.
The Joint Union stressed the importance of ensuring that the envoy in his upcoming briefing that the assassination of the martyr President Saleh al-Sammad by the coalition is a political assassination aimed at blocking the efforts of the United Nations and its envoy to re-negotiations.
It explained that any negotiating does not include in its executive arrangements the institution of the presidency would postpone the peace process.
The Joint Union pointed out that the solution lies in the issuance of a UN resolution to stop aggression and confrontations besides returning to negotiations to agree on formation a consensual executive authority.
