AhlulBayt News Agency - A number of Fallujah residents mostly consisting of women and children drowned in Euphrates river while attempting to escape ISIS in the city.
The victims lost their lives while attempting to reach Amriyah district on the other side of the river which is under the control of Iraqi security forces.

A huge number of civilians, trapped inside Fallujah, continue to risk their lives and flee every day as the battle of Fallujah is intensifying.
Around 50,000 civilians are still stuck in Fallujah which lies just 50 kilometers west of Baghdad, and IS is using those civilians as human shields which has decelerated the operation of recapturing the city.
