Malaysian premier Najib Abdul Razak has described the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip as a “crime against humanity”, and called for its immediate halt.
Razak, who was addressing a session for the Malaysian parliament on Wednesday, said that the Malaysian government and people stand alongside the Palestinian people in face of the Israeli aggression.
The parliament session was allocated for discussing the downing of the Malaysian Airlines airplane MH17 over the Ukrainian border in addition to the two-week long Israeli aggression Gaza.
The premier said that the painful downing of the Malaysian airplane would not let us forget the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Razak had phoned Khaled Mishaal, the political bureau chairman of Hamas, in the first days of the Israeli aggression on Gaza to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. He had also visited the Gaza Strip after the Israeli aggression on Gaza in 2012 in a step aimed at breaking the blockade on the coastal enclave.
