Politburo member of the Palestinian Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) Khalida Jarrar confirmed on Tuesday that PFLP armed wing did not receive any ceasefire initiative, saying that Palestinian resistance factions only heard of the Egyptian initiative on the media.
Jarrar told Quds Press that any ceasefire initiative must include an immediate stop of Israeli aggression and not to equate between the victim and the executioner.
She stressed that any initiative must protect the Palestinian resistance’s achievements, adding that the Egyptian initiative did not live up to the Palestinian conditions and demands and even harmed resistance.
PFLP politburo member pointed out that the Israeli army was hitting civilian targets in Gaza with internationally-banned weapons. There is an unequal balance of military power in this context; there is a military army on the first side and armed factions on the other side trying to protect their people, she said.
Khalida Jarrar, also a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, called for an Arab initiative that provides protection for the Palestinian people, supports their steadfastness, lifts the siege on Gaza, and halts the Israeli aggression.
It is a good chance to politically invest Palestinian resistance achievements on the ground, she underlined.
