Diyala Police Chief Major General Jamil al-Shammari said that the Naqshbandi army commander in Baquba, Ahmed Khalid Ibrahim, was killed.
A security source told National Iraqi News Agency that "a security force of Diyala police had killed the commander of the Naqshbandi army, Ahmed Khalid Ibrahim and a number of terrorists while trying to break into Mansuriyya district, of Khalis in Baquba".
