Iran's Foreign Minister was appointed as a voluntary servant of the Razavi Holy Shrine by the appointment of Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi.

According to the report issued from Astan Quds Razavi website, in a ceremony held in the Razavi Sacred Premises Auditorium, Dr. Muhammad Javad Zarif received his appointment for being a voluntary servant of Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Holy Shrine from Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi, the Custodian of Astan Quds Razavi.

In this ceremony, Ayatollah Waiz Tabasi stated, "With respect to the upcoming nuclear talks, receiving the appointment for being a servant is a grace from God and it can be a support for the Islamic Republic of Iran during the nuclear talks."

In an interview with the reporters on the sideline of the ceremony of dedicating the appointments of Astan Quds Razavi’s servants, Dr. Zarif expressed, "Today is the best day of my life and it is the day for which I have been waiting for 40 years and now I am happy because I have the opportunity of rendering service to the pilgrims of Imam Reza (A.S.)."

He continued, "I hope this blessed incident be a good starting point for the upcoming negotiations and what is good for this Islamic country and its people comes out of these talks. The nation’s rights are preserved and their livelihood status is improved."

The Iranian Foreign Minister said, "God willing, by enjoying the benignity of the Imams (A.S.) and Imam Reza (A.S.) the problems which have been imposed falsely and unjustly on the people are all overcome and I hope to continue the job with dignity and pride, enjoying people and the good ones’ pray."

He said, "The most important duty of each servant of Imam Reza (A.S.) is to render service to the pilgrims of this illuminated shrine. Other responsibilities are all temporary and some tests for us, and working in Imam Reza’s (A.S.) Shrine is an honor."
