Lebanese Shia scholar: Islamic unity is a must to confront Takfir

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) In line with studying the different solutions to confront Takfir, Taghrib News Agency has had an interview with two members of the Islamic Peace Committee, Allameh Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah, Lebanese scholar and also Sheikh Abdul Ghani Shams el Din, Islamic orator from Malaysia and also member of the Asian assembly at the Union of Muslim scholars.Allameh Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah, son of the great Allameh Seyyed Mohammad Hussein Fadhl Allah, in this interview stressed the key role of Muslim scholars in confrontation with excommunication and terrorism urging them to play their important role in boosting the ideological grounds of Muslims in order to prevent issuing Takfiri fatwas.He said that this responsibility is for Muslim scholars from any Islamic denomination and stressed,” Scholars have to inform the youths who have been taken in by Takfiri thoughts.”Lebanese member of the Islamic Peace Committee added,” Takfiri speeches which spark intrigues among different Islamic denominations legalize continuation of Takfiri operations and justify the killing of innocent people who are killed across the Muslim world on a daily basis; therefore, Muslim elites and intellectuals in the world of Islam have to prevent spread of these Takfiri speeches.”In the same breath, Seyyed Ali Fadhl Allah demanded boosting the ambiance of Islamic unity and deepening friendship and solidarity among Muslims in order to prevent spread of Takfiri thoughts saying,” Takfir grows in an atmosphere of tensions and intrigues.”When asked on the role of the Zionist regime in supporting Takfiri groups he said,” The role of the Zionist regime of Israel should not be forgotten because the utmost effort of this regime is to spread disagreement and dispersion across the world of Islam.”Sheikh Abdul ghani Shams el Din, member of the Asian assembly of the World Union of Muslim Scholars from Malaysia in his exclusive interview urged Muslim scholars to follow a certain strategy to use the word Takfir because Muslims should not excommunicate their Muslim brothers without a clear reason.Malaysian scholar demanded a clear stance of Shia and Sunni clerics in informing Islamic nation and teaching Sharia laws and Islamic culture as well as a moral of fraternity among Muslims warning against the outcomes of Takfir in the world of Islam.He said,” Enemies of Islam and their tyrant allies try to spark intrigues and religious disagreements among the followers of a religion in order to keep Muslims busy with domestic issues and destabilize Muslim countries.” adding that the issue is quite visible in the recent changes in the Middle East region particularly in Syria crisis, terror attacks in Iraq, Afghanistan and other Islamic countries.Malaysian scholar demanded all Muslims, particularly Muslim scholars to prevent the intrigues by the Zionist regime which are sparked with the aim of bringing tension among Islamic nation.  /149
