Ayatollah Khamenei stresses respect for Iran’s red lines in nuclear talks

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Wednesday that during the upcoming nuclear talks in Geneva, Iran’s redlines should be respected.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said Wednesday that during the upcoming nuclear talks in Geneva, Iran’s redlines should be respected. Addressing a gathering of 50,000 Basij (Volunteer) commanders in Tehran’s Grand Prayers site on the eve of the national Basij Week, Ayatollah Khamenei said he insists on “stabilizing Iranians rights including their nuclear rights.”“We do not interfere in the details of the talks but there are redlines that they are obliged to respect it.”The Supreme Leader reiterated his support for the government of President Hassan Rouhani.We had weaknesses in our economic decision making and those weaknesses made enemies feel that they could penetrate, the Supreme Leader said elsewhere in his speech.“Sanctions and other similar acts give us a chance to find out the weaknesses and remove them,” Ayatollah Khamenei said.Noting that Iranians respect all nations of the world, the Supreme Leader stressed, “However, we will give a crushing response to those who act against us.” Supreme Leader hails Basij as symbol of power Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei hailed the role of Basij volunteer forces as the symbol of power and efficiency of skilled Iranian forces. He said wherever people are to confront their enemies they have to overcome the will of the foes. This is what certainly happens about the Iranian Basij, he added.Saying that withdrawing before enemies is forbidden in Islam, the Supreme Leader stressed that the heroic flexibility means smart maneuvers before the enemies to get to the objectives. /129
