(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Arab Organization for Human Rights in Britain called on the Egyptian government and people to "take urgent action to defend by all means possible the residents of the Gaza Strip and to put an end to the Zionist arrogance."
The organization stressed in a statement on Wednesday that "the international community's moral and legal duty lies in urgently acting to stop the Israeli attacks because Israeli measures threaten, today, the international peace and security and may lead the region to a bloody war."
It urged the masses of the Arab and Islamic nation to "put pressure on their governments to take positions protecting the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip from the Israeli destruction machine."
The organization said in its statement: "hours after the truce agreement, which was reached under the auspices of Egypt, the Israeli government ordered to launch airstrikes on targets in the Gaza Strip that led to the killing of a number of Palestinians including Palestinian leader Ahmed Jabari."
"Israel has vowed to continue the campaign, saying that these attacks are the first batch of full-scale military campaign on the Gaza Strip."
The statement emphasized that "sights of the death and destruction caused by these raids bring to mind the sights of the bloody war waged by Israel, at the end of 2008 and which caused thousands of casualties and enormous devastation on building and infrastructure."
It added that during the war of 2008, the international community stood idly by and did not lift a finger while Israel was killing, destroying and burning the children and houses, which encouraged Israel to carry on in its operations and aggression on Palestinians.
