(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Iraqi ambassador to Saudi Arabia said Iraqi pilgrims this year would number 32,000, of which the first group of more than 1,000 pilgrims had already arrived in Jeddah and Madinah over land and on four flights on Wednesday.
Ghanim Alwan Al-Jumaily said more pilgrims would arrive in the next few days. The ambassador commended the "huge efforts the Kingdom's government and people are exerting in the service of pilgrims. "These efforts are witnessed by everyone."
He said the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and the Iraqi Hajj and Umrah Commission were constantly coordinating to overcome obstacles facing Iraqi pilgrims.
He thanked all of those working in the field of serving pilgrims.
