(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - President of Sudan said in his speech during the 16th NAM summit stated: “Sudan has always supported the legal rights of the Palestinians and the establishment of the independent government of Palestine with Quds as its capital city; Palestine is not just a regional or Arab-affiliated issue. NAM members has right to support Palestine”.

Omar Hassan Ahmad Al-Bashir, the President of Sudan, as the first speaker of the second day of the summit stated that democracy and transparency are expected to be seen in the negotiations of the UN members, and of course the UN structure should be reformed.

“Climate change, human rights, food and energy security, and terrorism are of the main international challenges to be considered. Terrorism is a major threat to our societies, and it is different from the legal fight against occupation. Public freedom and human rights should not be harmed as well.”

“We also condemn the measures of the Zionist regime to prevent the arrival of members of NAM Palestine Committee into Palestine”, he continued.

On Syria crisis he explained: “we feel sorry for the crises in Syria, and believe that increasing atrocity is not an appropriate way of putting an end to the existing conflicts in this country. We expect all engaged sides to negotiate and finish with armed clashes.”
