(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Lebanese foreign minister made the remarks at a meeting with the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Saeed Jalili, in Tehran on Monday.
Commenting on the 16th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), which is currently underway in Tehran, Mansour said NAM members should seize the opportunity to find proper solutions to regional issues.
The SNSC secretary said Lebanon, as a NAM member state and the symbol of resistance and the struggle against occupation, has played an important role in regional developments.
Jalili also expressed hope that the sweeping wave of the Islamic Awakening would strengthen the resistance movement day by day.
NAM is an international organization with 120 member states that is not formally aligned with or against any major power bloc.
At the opening ceremony of the NAM expert-level meeting on Sunday, Iran assumed the rotating presidency of the movement for three years.
The two-day foreign ministerial meeting of the NAM summit will begin on Tuesday.
The meeting of heads of state and government opens on Thursday with an inaugural speech by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
