“Mahdawiyyat and Future Studies” Forum Planned in Najaf

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - On the occasion of birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his glad advent) in mid-Sha’ban, a forum on “Mahdism and Future Studies” will be held in the holy city of Najaf, Iraq.According to Ma’aref Radio, Hojat-ol-Islam Eskandari, representative of the Supreme Leader’s Office in Iraq announced this, urging for cooperation of the custodianship of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine in holding the program.He said that important scientific centers in Iraq such as the Ahl-ul-Bayt (AS) World Assembly, which is run under the supervision of Ayatollah Asefi, Al-ul-Bayt (AS) Institute, Imam Hassan (AS) Library of late Allameh Qorashi, Imam Mahdi (may God hasten his glad advent) Institute, Al-Ghura Institute and Kufa University have announced readiness to contribute to the program.Noting that the forum can be considered as the first step in organizing greater programs on the theme in future, he said that taking into account the good relation between Iraqi and Iranian scholars and intellectuals, a bright future can be expected for the forum.Sheikh Abdul Mahdi Karbalayi who is in charge of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine custodianship hailed planning such a forum in the holy city of Najaf and said the office is ready to cooperate in organizing the event. /129
