(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Yemini protesters rallied in the capital Sana’a, as well as Taizz, al-Dalia', Rada'a and Ibb on Friday, demanding the trial of ex-ruler Ali Abdullah Saleh and his inner circle.
Anti-government protests continue in Yemen despite Saleh's resignation.
The demonstrators want the prosecution of Saleh and his aides over the killing of thousands of anti-government protesters during the country's revolution.
Protesters also criticized the new administration as a fabrication of foreign powers, including Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Saleh, who ruled Yemen for 33 years, stepped down in February under a US-backed power transfer deal in return for immunity after nearly a year of mass street protests against his rule.
His deputy UK-trained field marshal Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi replaced Saleh on February 25 following a single-candidate presidential election backed by the United States and Saudi Arabia. Hadi will serve for an interim two-year period as stipulated by the power transfer deal.
