(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Ali Moshayma, 28, is son of Sheikh Hassan Moshayma, a well-known Bahraini activist and leader of “al-Haqq Movement” who started hunger strike last week to support Abdulhadi al-Khawaje, a well-known political prisoner in Bahrain who is on hunger strike, too.

Ali told IRNA that he is there to protest colaboration of Washington with al-Khalifa regime in the violent suppresion of Bahraini protesters.

He added that western states, especially US and UK, by following dual standards and because of their own economic and strategic interests in the region, are supporting oppressive regime of Bahrain as well as occupying forces of Saudi Arabia.

He said that al-Khawaje, who has received a life sentence for participating in a peaceful protest, started hunger strike 62 days ago and his health condition is deteriorating day by day.

Sheikh Hassan Moshayma, father of Ali, who is suffering from cancer, has been in prison since last year and Bahraini officials have prevented him from receiving his medicine.

Ali said that the US and UK, while claiming support for human rights, have sent two ex-police officers to Bahrain to help oppressive forces of the regime.

These two are John Bitz, ex London police officer, and John Thimoty, former police chief of Miami, USA.
