(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - Tayyeb's appeal came during a meeting with an Islamic delegation of Palestine, led by the founder of the Islamic Movement Sheikh Abdullah Nemr.
Tayyeb said that al-Azhar is ready to increase scholarships for Palestinian students to study in al-Azhar colleges.
Meanwhile, Al Tayyeb received an invitation from Prince Charles of Wales to visit Britain and to give a lecture at Cambridge University and to meet with British Muslims.
The invitation was conveyed by British Ambassador in Cairo James Watt during his visit to Al-Azhar Sheikhdom (premises) where he had tacks on the situation in Egypt and the Arab region.
The British Ambassador said the pioneering role of honorable Al-Azhar and its moderation and the wisdom of the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar embodied the greatness of Islam, and its civilization.
