(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) - The Muslim Association of Canada (MAC) and the Islamic Information Center (IIC) are going to hold the 11th Quran Memorization and Recitation Competition at Youth & Community Center of The Muslim Association of Canada on April 1, 2012.The competition is going to be held to strengthen the link between the Muslim society and the Quran, to help increase the knowledge of, and love for the Quran, to help develop interest in Quran, to help motivate memorizing, reciting and reviewing Quran and to help develop skills in reading and reciting Quran.Participants will compete in 7 different categories which are memorizing Juz’ 1 to 10 or Juz’ 21 to 30 for all ages, Juz’ 1 to 5 or Juz’ 26 to 30 for all ages, Juz’ 28 to 30 for who were born in or after 1995, Juz’ 29 to 30 for who were born in or after 1999, Juz’ 30 for who were born in or after 2002, Half of Juz’ 30 for who were born in or after 2004 and recitation of whole Quran for all ages. /129
